LSFORCEHOST is a system environment variable that is used for network licenses to specify location of the license server. Using this variable forces the program to look up the network license on a single license server identified by its IP address or name.

The procedure for setting LSFORCEHOST value for Windows XP and Windows 7 is given below.
Setting LSFORCEHOST value in Windows XP
- Select Start > Control Panel > System > Advanced (tab).
- Select Environment Variables, then select System Variables > New.
- Enter the information which follows:
Variable name = LSFORCEHOST Variable value = IP address or name of your license server computer
NOTE: If your network uses dynamic IP addresses, use the Server name instead of the IP address.
Setting LSFORCEHOST value in Windows 7
- Select Start > Control Panel > System and Security > System.
- Select Advanced System Settings in the left column, then select Advanced (tab).
- Select Environment Variables, then select System Variables > New.
- Enter the information which follows:
Variable name = LSFORCEHOST Variable value = IP address or name of your license server computer
NOTE: If your network uses dynamic IP addresses, use the Server name instead of the IP address.
