General-purpose structural analysis and design software
SAP2000 is general-purpose structural-engineering software ideal for the modeling, analysis, and design of any structural system. An intuitive and versatile object-based modeling environment streamlines the engineering process whether projects involve simple or complex geometry, static or dynamic loading conditions, and basic or advanced computational techniques. Optimization algorithms are available for improved design economy. Capabilities also extend to geometric and material nonlinearity, while automatic yet customizable output reports summarize structural response and design specifications. SAP2000 is a sophisticated and productive tool for structural-engineering practice.
Specialized bridge engineering software
CSiBridge is specialized analysis and design software tailored for the engineering of bridge systems. Customized controls and features integrate across a powerful object-based modeling environment to offer an intuitive, practical, and productive computational tool for bridge engineering. Advanced modeling features and sophisticated analysis techniques account for dynamic effects, inelastic behavior, and geometric nonlinearity. Code-based templates streamline the engineering process from model definition through analysis, design optimization, and the generation of comprehensive output reports, complete with data, diagrams, and animations that summarize structural response and design specifications. CSiBridge is the premier software for bridge engineering.
Multi-story building analysis and design software
ETABS is an engineering software product that caters to multi-story building analysis and design. Modeling tools and templates, code-based load prescriptions, analysis methods and solution techniques, all coordinate with the grid-like geometry unique to this class of structure. Basic or advanced systems under static or dynamic conditions may be evaluated using ETABS. For a sophisticated assessment of seismic performance, modal and direct-integration time-history analyses may couple with P-Delta and Large Displacement effects. Nonlinear links and concentrated PMM or fiber hinges may capture material nonlinearity under monotonic or hysteretic behavior. Intuitive and integrated features make applications of any complexity practical to implement. Interoperability with a series of design and documentation platforms makes ETABS a coordinated and productive tool for designs that range from simple 2D frames to elaborate modern high-rises.
Foundation and elevated slab software
SAFE is a software product tailored to the engineering of structural slabs, including foundation and elevated-floor systems. Customized features simplify slab modeling, analysis, design, and detailing, while capturing the effects of soil-structure interaction and interconnecting systems. SAFE provides for post-tensioning, punching-shear checks, and a variety of slab design types, including two-way, flat, ribbed, waffle, and those of foundation systems. SAFE is coordinated for use in conjunction with ETABS, CSI’s multi-story building analysis and design software.
Sophisticated modeling and performance-assessment software
PERFORM-3D is structural-engineering software useful for the performance assessment of structural systems. State-of-the-art constitutive-modeling capabilities enable characterization of material nonlinearity, including strength and stiffness degradation during component-level hysteresis. Analysis capabilities also extend to geometric nonlinearity and effects associated with P-Delta behavior. Advanced modeling tools enable a sophisticated simulation of structural behavior. Components may be grouped according to type, location, and limit state before evaluation may proceed in terms of strength or deformation-based demand-capacity ratio. D-C usage is displayed dynamically through color-coordinated time-history animations. PERFORM-3D is a premier tool for performance assessment.
Advanced column design and evaluation software
CSiCOL is a software product used to model, analyze, and design traditional and composite reinforced-concrete columns of customized geometry and constitutive behavior. Column attributes, inelastic behavior, optimized design, and a range of individual and combined performance measures are characterized and evaluated using CSiCOL.

Cross-section analysis and design utility
Section Designer is an integrated utility within SAP2000 and ETABS used to model, analyze, and design cross sections of customized geometry and material properties. Sections may be of reinforced-concrete, steel, or a composite definition. Reinforcement may include any combination of longitudinal rebar, transverse steel, and tendon objects. The section properties and nonlinear relationships that are generated using Section Designer are then applied to frame objects within SAP2000 and ETABS.
