The External Results load case enables users to subject frame objects to internal forces and moments which result from an external source. All other response quantities (displacements, reactions, shell stresses, etc.) will be reported as zero for these load cases.
This type of load case is visible within the software interface, but must be defined using Open OAPI functions. External Results load cases may be added to load combinations and used for frame design in a manner similar to conventional load cases.
