Running SAP2000 on Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista, and Windows 7

In Windows Vista, Windows XP SP3, and Windows 7, the User Account Control (UAC) is turned on by default. As a result, explicit permission must be given for any software to use Administrator privilege. Access will be denied to any software which attempts to use Administrator privilege without permission. To avoid this issue, right-click on the SAP2000 icon and select Run As Administrator (or Run As in Windows XP SP3). This only needs to be done one time, then SAP2000 may be run by double-clicking the icon.
