PERFORM-3D is a structural engineering software useful for the performance assessment of structural systems. State of the art constitutive modeling capabilities provide for characterization of strength and stiffness degradation through component-level hysteresis. Beyond material nonlinearity, geometric nonlinearity is measured through P-delta effect, often critical to the realistic prediction of structural response at life-safety and collapse-prevention performance levels.

Demand-capacity ratios pertinent to elastic response, and strength / deformation-based parameters indicative of limit state behavior and plastic response, combine with static-pushover and dynamic analysis to provide insight into where and how inelastic behavior will be achieved and advance through a structural system.

Created by Dr. Graham H. Powell, University of California at Berkeley Professor Emeritus of Civil Engineering, PERFORM-3D is the ideal tool for nonlinear performance-based analysis and design.
